About Ali
Professor Darendeliler received his primary degree from the University of Istanbul, followed by orthodontic training at the University of Geneva, and completed his PhD at the University of Gazi. During the course of his career he has undertaken duties as a clinical instructor, research and postgraduate coordinator at the University of Geneva, Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina and Research Professor at the University of Southern California. He has lectured in North America, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Professor Darendeliler's research interests include orthodontic tooth movement, root resorption, obstructive sleep apnoea, magnetic fields and magnetic forces, and dentofacial orthopaedics. He currently holds the posts of Research Collaborator and Visiting Instructor in Orthodontics and Pedodontics at Geneva University, Head of Discipline and Professor and Chair in Orthodontics, Sydney University, and Head of Department of Orthodontics, Sydney Dental Hospital.
