Brad Curtis

BDS (Hons), MPH (Hons), GradCert (Health Economics)

Dr Curtis graduated from Sydney University in 1986 and worked in private dental practice until 2002. A change in direction included a Master of Public Health (2004), leading to development of a course for dental postgraduates entitled ‘Research Methods for Dental Postgraduates’, covering design, methodology, and statistical issues when undertaking research projects.

A firm believer in collaborative research, Brad teaches biostatistics to Reproductive Endocrinologists in preparation for their Fellowship exam, epidemiology within the various Masters programs offered by the School of Public Health, and was the chief background researcher for the Crown Solicitors Office inquiry into Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals (The Walker Inquiry).

Currently, research interests include a cohort study investigating the psychological impact of medico-legal claims on doctors and a PhD project analysing the introduction of the Caries Management System within private dental practices in NSW.
