Dr Brown is a specialist periodontist, working full time in her private periodontal and implant practice. She teaches and examines in the postgraduate periodontics program at Melbourne University.

She completed her undergraduate dental and postgraduate periodontal education at Melbourne University. She was awarded a PhD from the University of Adelaide and also spent two years at the University of North Carolina, working in the field of periodontal epidemiology and completing a further degree.

Dr Brown has been awarded numerous Fellowships and research grants, leading to publications in international refereed journals. She is actively involved in the periodontal profession, currently serving on ANZAP council.
