Overview

This course includes lectures and hands-on training in the Faculty of Dentistry’s clinical simulation unit at the Sydney Dental Hospital. The course is designed to cover many aspects of fixed prosthodontics for the general dental practitioner and will include theory and practical instruction for metal-ceramic, all-ceramic and full gold crowns, fixed partial dentures and veneers. Diagnosis and treatment planning for many frequently occurring clinical situations will be covered comprehensively throughout the four-day program. You will also learn to consider the prognosis for different clinical scenarios during the ample time allowed for discussion with the experienced practitioners presenting this course. Modern operative techniques, live demonstration of CEREC III and other resin bonded ceramic and indirect resin restorations, will be included.
