Overview

This course is aimed at specialists

The enhanced magnification and illumination provided by the dental operating microscope can be applied to many clinical situations, ranging from the inspection of crown preparations to endodontic, periodontic and oral surgery procedures.

The microscope is particularly useful in endodontics for identifying cracks, finding calcified and additional canals, removing posts and broken instruments, repairing perforations and performing periapical surgery.

This course will emphasise the application of the microscope to conventional and surgical endodontics by exercises on extracted teeth.

Each participant will have their own microscope and have the opportunity to try other brand products.

A team approach with the dental chairside assistant will be emphasised. Everyone will receive a reading list and technical information about the microscopes.
