Overview
Having the skill to move teeth using almost invisible plastic aligners can be of great benefit to your practice, not only in treating malocclusion, but for pre-prosthetic workups too. Getting accreditation to use the Invisalign system may give you rudimentary skills in using the 3D software and in taking full arch, accurate PVS impressions, but you need more training to confidently and predictably move teeth in all but the simplest cases.
In this one-day course, Dr Morris Rapaport will attempt to give you a far greater level of understanding of what is important if you wish to move teeth using plastic. For example, I will be stating and explaining the implications of the assertions that, "braces pull teeth while plastic pushes them" and that "if you want the virtual movements you saw on the screen to happen in reality, you have to ensure that the aligners stay fitting".
